It's a Saturday night, at about midnight. I get out of a movie (I don't remember which at this point), check my phone and find a couple phone calls and a few texts all from Freddly telling me to call him ASAP no matter how late it is. Of course I call him and he proceeds to beg for my assistance in helping make the next blockbuster Takito. Apparently one of the actresses bailed on them that night at 10 pm and her shoot was the next day at 6 in the A.M. Sounded like fun and I couldn't say no to Fred, so I said the opposite of no. The following is the result of that answer.
TAKITO
Takito is the story of, you guessed it, Takito, whose wife Mildred and dog Sparky are murdered by the his archnemesis, Dreyfus. Takito sends Dreyfus to a prison above the lake, but he is released by his henchmen and vows to get revenge on Takito. There are lightsabers, stabbings, beheadings... Think Final Fantasy meets Star Wars meets any revenge movie ever made. (Trogdor was even one of the character's name. If you don't know the reference, let me know and I'll tell you. If you can't tell the reference of Dreyfus' character then you need to watch more movies)

I was in two scenes total.
The dream scene:

And the death scene:

Wo is me

You'd be surprised how tired being tied to a tree will make you.

Mildred and Takito (aka me and Fred Lee)

The evil Dreyfus (Danny James), post prison above the lake.

The exciting final fight scene between Takito and Dreyfus.

So sad after losing Sparky. Seriously. He was more sad about losing Sparky than Mildred.

Camera man, Raji Barbir (behind the crane), and director, Andrew James (in the hat). I didn't expect us to have such fancy hardware. Actually, I think I was asleep while they shot this scene, so I didn't get to see them use it, but I still think it was pretty impressive. To see more of Raji's photography work, check out Tiny Comet over on the right.
So finally, I have something interesting to blog about! My first film experience! I must say it was one of the funnest things I've done in a long time. Regardless of the silliness of the story, I was very impressed with everyone's movie making skills. So even though I had to get up at 6 in the morning on a Sunday!!, thanks must be given to Fred and Danny for thinking of me for the part. I don't know if they thought I would look good tied to a tree or what, but it was worth it. Actually, my ankles starting burning after a while so maybe not THAT worth it...
